Hydrocyclone separator sand water “IWAKO” is a device used to separate solids from liquids, typically in the context of separating sand from water.
The hydrocyclone separator uses centrifugal force to separate particles of different sizes and densities. The mixture of sand and water is fed into the hydrocyclone at an angle, creating a swirling motion. This motion causes the heavier sand particles to be forced to the outside of the hydrocyclone, while the lighter water is forced to the center and exits the hydrocyclone through an overflow pipe. The separated sand is collected at the bottom of the hydrocyclone and removed through an underflow pipe.
Hydrocyclone separators are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in mineral processing, wastewater treatment, and other industries where solids need to be separated from liquids. They are generally considered to be a more efficient and cost-effective method of separation than traditional sedimentation methods.
